She’s Back! She’s Back in the saddle again! She’s Back!!

Stopped at the Lewis and Clark Memorial Park and put EM on the Katy Trail. She’s back in the saddle again, just in case you missed it.

I went to the Lewis and Clark Boathouse Museum. The design of the keel boat reminds me of many of the features built into our van – cargo hold running down each side of the vessel, captains quarters, steps to get around things, etc.  Fortunately I have an internal (infernal) combustion engine so I can forgo the poling crew and sail. Our journey will follow their journey of Discovery – it’s the lowest elevation change to get to the Pacific Ocean from the east. Makes for easier biking. In theory at least. 

She made about 42 miles today with only minimal discomfort. The down days and bike adjustments seem to have worked. Tomorrow EM’s going for 54 miles again. Wish her luck!
